Wisconsin Association for Identification Scholarship for Dependents
The Wisconsin Association for Identification is pleased to continue to offer a scholarship program to support and encourage the secondary education of WAI member dependents in 2024. These awards will be made for the 2024 – 2025 academic year.
Basis of Award – Scholarship awards shall be granted based on the following considerations:

Award committee evaluation of the candidate’s written essay (see application for topics)

Demonstrated achievement in previous academic pursuits;

Acceptance to an accredited college or university;
Scholarship Award Amount – The number of awards and total distribution amounts for the 2023 - 2024
academic year scholarships will be determined based on the Scholarship Committee reviewer’s
evaluation of the applications submitted in consideration of funds available and approved qualified
applicants for that year.
Use of Scholarships – Scholarship awards may be applied toward tuition, fees, or other costs directly
related to undergraduate or graduate studies in degree seeking (including technical certifications)
programs.
Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be a child or dependent of an active WAI member in good standing

Scholarships shall be awarded to graduating high school seniors and/or matriculated students pursuing degrees and enrolled, or planning to enroll, in an accredited two or four year college or university for the next academic year.

Applicants will be required to provide proof of enrollment as a “full time student” in a degree, or certificate seeking program.

Applicants will be required to provide “non-certified” transcripts from high school or previous academic year of university or college which includes the cumulative GPA through the fall semester of the recently completed academic year.

Scholarships shall be awarded without regard to age, sex, race or national origin.

Scholarships shall be awarded without regard to financial need.

The fund committee will determine the number of recipients and scholarship amounts each year, based upon financial ability of the fund and the number of qualified applicants.

The scholarship(s) will be awarded at the recommendations of the scholarship award ad-hoc e board. All committee to the full board of directors with final approval by majority vote of the board All decisions are final.
DEADLINE:
Completed applications, including essay and transcripts attached, must be received
electronically by February 16th , 2024 at 2400 CST
Applications will be reviewed and the recipients will be selected, notified individually and
announced at the WAI training conference on March 22nd, 2024.
