Resolution 2011-2

 

Whereas, the members of the Wisconsin Association for Identification assembled at the 2011 Annual General Membership meeting in Madison, Wisconsin, on March 16, 2011 wish to adopt a change to our Laws; therefore be it

 

Resolved that Section 5.06 of the By Laws be amended to read as follows:  

 

Section 5.06 Annual Educational Seminar Committee.  The chairperson to host the annual Education Seminar shall be approved by the Board of Directors.  The members of this committee shall include the previous chair of this committee, the First Vice President, at least three (3) other persons selected by the current chair and three continuing positions to include speakers, general planning, and registration.  The term of the appointment for this committee shall run from the date the Board of Directors approves the host until all the business related to that specific annual educational seminar is competed.  The chair of the committee shall be the primary point of contact of the Association for the Press in everything related to the annual Educational Seminar.  The Board of Directors may pre-approve up to $1500.00 to cover costs incurred prior to the start of the Annual Educational Seminar.  The chair of the committee is responsible for tracking monies used and producing said receipts to the Secretary-Treasurer prior to the start of the Conference.

Resolution 2011-1

 

Whereas, the members of the Wisconsin Association for Identification assembled at the 2011 Annual General Membership meeting in Madison, Wisconsin, on March  , 2011 wish to adopt a change to our Laws; therefore be it

 

Resolved that Section 3.09 (d) will be added to the By Laws as will read as follows:  

 

Section 3.09 (d) Membership Applications and Records.  Should the Secretary-Treasurer publish the annual membership roster on the WAI website, any WAI member has the right to have their name removed from the publication.  The information that will be published will be professional contact information only.  In order for a WAI member to have their name removed from the website, they would have to send written confirmation or an e-mail requesting that their name and other identifying information be removed from the web site.  The Secretary-Treasurer will maintain a printed master list to include the WAI member who opted out of the website publication.

Resolved, that a copy of this resolution be published in the WAI Newsletter and the WAI website.
